Randall Bedwell, Executive Director

Randall Bedwell is the founder of Pickleball Kids USA and the executive director of the Tennessee Junior Pickleball Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting competitive youth pickleball across Tennessee. A certified professional in both tennis and pickleball, Bedwell is passionate about fostering athletic development and community engagement through the sport.

Since launching Pickleball Kids USA in 2020, Randall Bedwell has spearheaded numerous initiatives to grow the sport statewide. This includes securing a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health to develop the Tennessee Student Academic Physical Education Standards - Pickleball, now distributed to over 2,000 public middle and high schools across the state.

As a guest lecturer and pedagogical instructor for the Tennessee Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (TAHPERD), Bedwell also plays a key role in advancing sports education.

In addition to authoring the guide Junior Team Pickleball: A Guide for Teachers, Coaches, and Volunteers, he regularly consults with schools, park and recreation departments, pickleball clubs, and volunteers across the country to create sustainable junior pickleball programs.

A frequent subject matter expert on pickleball for media outlets like Nashville Scene and Nashville Public Radio, Bedwell is dedicated to building inclusive, accessible programs that benefit communities across the state. His collaborative efforts extend to partnerships with schools, churches, and organizations like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, bringing the joy of pickleball to athletes of all ages.
